A story of two dogs

One morning after a restless night I approdached my spirtual master
and confessed,

"Master, it is like there are two dogs battling for command of my heart.
One dog represents the yearnings of my soul.
The other dog represents the yearnigs of my flesh.
These two dogs are strong, and the battle that rages in my heart is fierce.
I am afraid the battle could go either way.
Tell me Master, how can I know which dog will win?"

The Master calmly smiled, with a twinkling of recognition in his eyes,
he said, "You can know, because the dog that will win .....

...is the dog that you feed."
