Everyone is born creative, it’s our birthright. It’s the tool we are given to be able to return to the Father. No exceptions. It is limited thinking to believe
that creativity is reserved for the artistic few. As children, when our souls incarnate we have vivid imaginations and are therefore very creative. It’s only a matter of time before our parents and society grab hold of us and we are quickly conditioned to be and behave in certain ways.
Any potential we have for expressing our uniqueness is suppressed by those who think they know better or think that they are right, and as helpless children we submit to their authority. So we become machines rather than human beings, and we are made to believe that the world already is, that all that is required of us to be loved is conformity, obedience and from that we conclude that we are mere spectators to our existence. We continue to be numbed into this way of being throughout our adolescence, and if we remain unconscious, it’s like that for most of our adult life. We become nothing but the products of our environment and we remain uncreative. And whilst we are given many opportunities along the way to break out of this tribalism, because of our lack of awareness of the vast potentiality of our being, we miss the chance to recreate our lives, and slowly die to life.
The only way out of this prison is to get rid of all conditionings, undo what society has done to us and become children again, and thereby birth our Soul and our true Self. We can only be truly creative if we are an individual, if we touch our uniqueness, living in total freedom, living our own truth. For as long as we care about what others think, we will not be creative, we will just be repetitive, automatic, doing what everyone else is doing because that is the only way to get their respect and approval.
Your Creator archetype is there to assist you to awaken to your real Self deep within you. Without a sense of your genuine self you cannot begin to imagine the possibilities for your life, your mission, the divine purpose for which you were born. However, when you can tap into this potential, your Creator arises and you can begin to create a life that emerges out of the truth of who you are, not out of who society or the tribe want you to be. So if you feel that you are not creative or artistic, it is because you have not discovered your true Self, instead you’re living a life that was given to you, you have not tried on the new, and when you finally do, your Creator is born.
Whether we are conscious of it or not, we co-create our life everyday with God and each other. We do this in the choices we make and by the ways that we live. No matter what we do we are creating a life. It may not be a happy or beautiful life, but it’s the life you are creating nevertheless.
For those of you conscious of a sense of destiny and a responsibility to fulfil a destiny, the Creator archetype is active in your life. Every person born to this planet has a uniqueness, a divine mission, a reason for being on the planet, and your Creator archetype is here to birth you to your Soul, your true Self so that your purpose might be revealed to you. A large number of people think of their life mission as a job, and wouldn’t dare to imagine any other possibility for their life. One of our biggest lessons is to give up the illusion that we can control our destiny. We set and try to achieve goals and direct the course of our life. That is the work of ego and instead we need to learn to trust our imaginations and the way that our Souls are creating our lives, for our Soul creates our life at a much deeper level, so that what we do makes a difference to the world. When we drop the ego we let go the whole world we have created around it, it becomes meaningless, and for the first time we see things as they are, not as we would like them to be, and then we are ready to be Creators.
How do you activate your Creator? You empty yourself of all of your conditioning. Look at all the beliefs that you hold and behaviours you live that no longer serve your life and no longer serve the whole of life, and simply drop them. You can use the Destroyer Archetype to assist you in doing this. Don’t worry about who you’ll offend or hurt, they’ll get over it. Why would anyone who loves you want you to be miserable? Do this until you have released all of the things that keep you uncreative and stuck. For your Creator to activate you need to be empty.
Now, your Creator is not something you do, rather it flows through you as you open yourself to being a channel for grace. While we are addicted to activity, always doing, we are in our shadow Creator. Understand that activity is your escape from yourself, that’s why there is so much activity in your life. True creativity however, is inaction, its standing still so that God can move through you. You will just be a vehicle. Then whatever comes through you and you make manifest, will as Osho states “be beautiful, be of great mystic splendour.”
Your Creator enables you to bring the new into existence, to experience the world through the heart, to see the mystery of the world around you, to see God in everything, making a way for the unknown to penetrate the known. It opens you to a different dimensional awareness. That’s what true creativity is. When you are in your heart, then things start to happen on their own and you become a great alchemist, a great transformational force in the universe.
The shadow Creator, creates for reward and recognition. This is where you start creating to be respected by people, and you behave according to their manner and expectations. The shadow Creator also believes that it knows everything it needs to know, that there is nothing more to learn. That this is all there is. A true Creator however, like the Detective archetype, remains always in a state of curiosity, so that the new can come into the space and spontaneity can flourish.
Unless you become a Creator, life has no meaning. Your life is your opportunity to create meaning for your existence, so you do not discover the meaning of life, rather you create meaning for your life. And how will you know you found meaning? Your life will take on a different tonality, you’ll be joyous and beautiful and full of love, and you’ll want nothing more than to give of yourself to the world. You’ll have that warm fuzzy feeling all over. The only uncreative acts are those acts that are done without love or joy, they’re mainly habitual. When something is truly creative, you will grow from it, it has a spiritual resonance.
